Boblainy Forest Photographic Competition 2013

BFG organised a photographic competition in conjunction with Kiltarlity Camera Club. This was launched in March and ran until November. 38 photographs were submitted which, according to the judges, were of a very high standard.
Two members of the Camera Club, Colin Campbell and Tim Winterburn, agreed to act as judges and the BFG wish to thank them for this task.

At a public exhibition held in Brockie’s Lodge Hotel the following winners were announced:

  • 1st place – Neil Wallace
  • 2nd place – Mike Packer
  • Highly Commended – Brian Alexander
  • Highly Commended – Jeanette Runacras
  • Highly Commended – Mary MacLeod
  • Highly Commended – Colin Farman

All the photographs were later put on show for 10 days in the Kiltarlity Post Office thanks to Kevin.
The BFG hope to make the photographic competition an annual event and would be especially keen to get entries for the children’s category (16 years and under) next year. Why not get out there in the forest over the winter and take your camera! Start capturing the wonder of the forest now.
